These systems are developed to monitor, control, and perform various industrial tasks and automate processes with high precision, improving product quality and reliability. Industrial control systems are being adopted by organizations from various industries due to the increasing focus on attaining energy efficiency in manufacturing processes. Moving forward, it’s likely that EEs will find demands made of their skills to be inclusive of software and wider programming talents, which can go hand in hand with their existing controller design competency. Whichever way the electrical engineering industry turns, it points to there being lots of room for EEs.
