In the modern era of academic research, qualitative research is gaining a lot of popularity due to extensive production of qualitative data. The researchers shall have the ability to perform qualitative and quantitative research in order to be effective in their research domain.
Owing to this need of the hour, a five day faculty development programme on, "Fundamentals of Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods" is successfully concluded in GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) from June 16 to 21, 2023.
The FDP was aimed to enhance the knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques amongst the faculty participants for providing wider spectrum of conducting research.
The FDP session was taken by eminent speakers of their area:
Dr. Shikha Bhadwaj (Faculty, Sambalpur) discussed on qualitative research and review papers.
Dr. Bala Bhaskaran (Professor & CFA) for extensive discussion on case studies.
Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh Kaurav (Fore School of Management) for deliberation on Bibliometric Analysis.
Dr. Bhupender Kumar Som (Director, GIMS) discussed on descriptive analysis & use of R software.
The key elements of FDP was to gain in-depth knowledge about SLR, Case Study Discussion, Bibliometric Analysis, Descriptive Analysis and Use of R Software.
