To provide an excellent learning opportunity to its budding managers, CRC at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, Greater Noida organised an Industrial Visit at Haier Appliances (India) Pvt. Ltd. for PGDM Batch 22-24. Haier India is a 100 percent subsidiary of Haier Group, one of the fastest growing consumer durables company. Haier Group Corporation is a multinational home appliances and consumer electronics company headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong.

The aim of this visit was to make our millennial managers learn the nuances of consumer durable business and to help them create a connect in between classroom learning and real life functioning of a globally acclaimed corporation.

We extend gratitude to Team Haier for outstanding support and hospitality.

The Induction Programme of the III Batch of PGDM 2022-24 at GNIOT Institute Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida witnessed a flee of dignitaries ranging from the Sports prodigy, the Gold Medalist Indian Wrestler Ms. Babita Nagar to the President PHDCCI, Mr. Pradeep Multani and the HR Topshots Mr. Varindra Singh, Chief Mgr - HR, Fortum India Pvt Ltd and Mr. Suman Saha, Group Head- HR, Indian Cellular & Electronics Association.

The luminaries encouraged and enlightened the new joiners with their Mantras to lead a successful and contented life viz , Learn to listen and listen to learn, Don't only know the tricks of the trade but follow them too and Never Give up; Always strive for achieving the best.

The event was a grand success with huge takeaways for the audience that'll motivate them building their career

"Cultural Sensitivity at the Workplace leverages to create a competent team that can communicate and relate to one another."

Under the banner of ' Performance Improvement Program (PIP), a workshop on ' Cultural Sensitivity in the Workplace ' was organized by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies.

By talking about and focussing on the strengths and benefits that diversity brings, Dr. Ruchi Rayat ( Dean PGP & Area Chair- OB & HRM) emphasized on cultural sensitivity and how it brings change to the workplace climate and the community.She helped the Millennial managers to develop the willingness to accept the journey towards greater enlightenment and having an open minded attitude towards the diversity around us.

The interpretation of Bharat may be different for different people but the essence remains the same : Progress, Prosperity, Peace and Love.

Sanskriti Club, GIMS, Greater Noida, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav(AKAM), organized "Main Hoon Bharat: Your Representation of India @75" from August 4-10, 2022 to celebrate 75 years of Independence of the Nation. The "Nation First; Always First" ideology gave birth to heart touching caricatures of the Millennials of GIMS of their country at 75 years of independence. The collages of the participants for India@75 reverberated Progress, Oneness, Peace and Happiness.

The youth has affirmed the nation's progress with leaps and bounds in these many years. They are assured that India is all set to adorn the whole world with its divine philosophies of sacrifice, courage, humanity and inclusivity. The diversity of India is its strength which makes our culture richest of all.

Sanskriti Club, GIMS, Greater Noida under the aegis of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav- Har Ghar Tiranga" organized "Dhwaj Vitran Samaroh", to celebrate the 75th Year of Independence on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. The event witnessed the reverence towards the National Flag of one and all present.

The National Flags were distributed to the Millennials of GIMS to commemorate the spirit of nationality and value the identity being provided to all of us by the Tiranga. The event celebrated the Indianness, Unity in Diversity and Nation First; Always First.

NUTAN - The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club, GIMS in association with Institution’s Innovation Council ( IIC) had organized IMPACT LECTURE SERIES - Session 2 , sponsored by the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell and AICTE.

Prof. Mayank Kumar Pandey – Deputy Director,GIMS gave opening remarks on the importance of innovation and startups in the Indian economy.

The expert of the session- Mr. Mahip Singh, Head Innovation Hub at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow shared his thoughts on turning ideas into innovation and then he emphasized the need of critical thinking and being optimistic to challenges as they have opportunity in disguise.

The second esteemed expert of the day- Mr. Saurabh Trivedi,founder IP Samadhan had highlighted the aspect of journey of startup with a focus on Intellectual Property as catalyst to the viability of business ideas into legal and scalable business enterprise.

The session was moderated by Dr. Nishant Singh, Asst. Professor of Marketing and Dr. Ruchi Rayat , Dean PGP & President IIC -GIMS shared the role of innovation in education and extended the vote of thanks.

Luminaries from Judiciary, Industry and Sports shared their wisdom during the Conference on 'Women In Power and Decision Making' organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI), New Delhi, today on 23rd.July 2022.Our Millennial Managers from PGDM Batch 2021-23 attended the conference and got enlightened with thoughts of some of the greatest minds of their respective fields.

Students shared their key takeaways and gave presentation about the conference.

With an aim to augment the learning process of our Millennials, CRC at GIMS, Greater Noida, organized an Industrial Visit for its PGDM 2022-24 Batch to Anmol Industries Ltd., Greater Noida on 22nd July, 2022. The company is a leading name in packaged food industry with their prime focus being in biscuits, cakes and cookies. PGDM students had a great learning experience in the unit and learned about the nitty gritties of packaged food manufacturing. The visit enabled the students to connect the theoretical understanding of management with industry practices.

Industrial Visits are always an opportunity for the pursuant of professional courses to get acquainted with the first hand information of the processes in an organization. CRC, GIMS, Greater Noida, organized an Industrial Visit for its PGDM 2022-24 Batch to OPPO Mobiles India Pvt.Ltd., Greater Noida on 21st July, 2022. The visit aimed at making students learnt about the manufacturing process, supply chain management, distribution systems and marketing strategies of the company. They got an overview of the handset manufacturing domain and also learnt how OPPO emerged as a pioneer in this particular space. The visit gave these millennial managers an opportunity to relate the theoretical practices with implementation in the real world.
