Under the banner of Performance Improvement Program (PIP),  a workshop on ' HR Analytics & Metrics Professional ' was conducted for PGDM Ist year students with HR Specialization on 24th April'21.
 Key Takeaways of the session were: 
*Understanding of the process of creating and using HR analytics
*Support and design HR metrics and HR strategy Maps for strategic outcomes
*Learn the concept of dashboards and Score cards
*Use metrics and quantify key outcomes in recruitment, L&D, Compensation and performance management.
The workshop intended to develop skill set that would  empower future leaders to take better Decisions  and become Agile HR Managers.
The Resource person for the workshop was Dr. Ruchi Rayat , Dean (OSW) & Area Chair- Human Resources, GIMS, Greater Noida.

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies(GIMS) had organized Chanakya Talks on ' Capability Building & Leadership Development ' on 16th April'21 at 3 pm.

The guest speaker was Mr. Subir Verma (Head HR & IR- TATA Power).

The session started with virtual lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana followed by Welcome Address of the guest by Dr. Arun Kumar Singh ( Director- GIMS).

In the session, Mr.Subir Verma shared insight about Talent 100 initiative of TATA Power in which they thrive to develop dynamic capabilities amongst 100 employees every year, so that they take up Leadership roles in future.

A workshop on ' PARICHAY- Competency Mapping & Achievement of Goals ' was organized for the students by Dr. Ruchi Rayat ( Dean-OSW). 
Students gave presentation on their identified academic and individual goals ,which were later reframed by Dr. Rayat on the basis of their core competencies and road map to achieve them was designed.
After the first year of PGDM, these goals would be evaluated and gaps, if any, and reasons for the gaps would be studied.
The objective of the workshop was to help the students to have Self- Identification, which is a first step for them towards becoming a brand

The International Women's Day was celebrated at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies, GIMS on 8th March'21. On this occassion, Seminar was organized in online & offline  blended mode on ' EVERY DAY IS A WOMEN'S DAY' . 

The program started with welcome address by Dr. Ruchi Rayat( Dean - OSW) , in which she highlighted the relevance of the day and how gender equality can make the world a better place to live in.

The first guest of the seminar was Major Nisha singh . In her address to the students, she emphasized on the need of self defense and role of woman in society .

 Ms.Anu Mehta , DGM & Head CSR was present offline in the seminar. She highlighted  the need of women independence and gender equality.

The event ended with ' Vote of Thanks' proposed by Prof. Mayank Pandey, Program Head.

The Two Week Interdisciplinary Refresher Course on Blended Learning & Flipped Classroom  by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida in association with Teaching Learning Centre ( Ramanujan College, University of Delhi) was inaugurated today, March, 8, 2021 on the virtual platform. 
The Chief Guest for the ocassion, Prof. Bhagawati Prakash Sharma, Hon. Vice-Chancellor, Gautam Buddha University graced the occasion with his thoughtful and thought provoking words guiding the participants to take full advantage of the Refresher Course. Dr. Pranveer Singh, Director General, GNIOT Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, delivered the welcome address and  Prof. S. P. Aggarwal, Director- TLC, Principal - Ramanujan College, University of Delhi gave inputs on the  requirement of Blended Learning in today's era. Prof. Mayank Kumar Pandey, Head-PGP, GIMS, Greater Noida mentioned that total 394 faculty members are participating in this course a

"Management is a Science; Documentation is an Art"- This was the motto of the Performance Improvement Programme - Art to Smart Documentation", organised by GIMS Greater Noida for its PGDM I year students on the 5th of March, 2021  to make them aware of the nuances and need of Official Documentation. 
The workshop will enable them not only to be a Smartmanager but also to produce impressive documents making a mark for themselves in the Corporate world.

Observing the high importance of management in every domain , ' National Management Day' was organised by ' ABHYUDAY' Club at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), under the impeccable leadership of Director of the Institute   Dr. Arun Kumar Singh.

On the onset,  Dr Singh addressed the students  appraising the reflection of Management in today's professional culture.

The program started with Talks by students on Corporate leaders. They discussed about their Leadership and what set them apart from others.
Queries were taken at the end of the session. Every student gave a brilliant  performance,  making everyone focus on the event.

All faculty members were present and the event was enjoyed by everyone at the optimum.

The program ended with 'Vote of Thanks' proposed by Dr. Ruchi Rayat (DEAN & Area Chair-HR).

“i-analytika” the Information Technology and Business Analytic club of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida,successfully completed its FIRST COLLAGE  MAKING COMPTETION on 20th February, 2021 in GIMS Block.
The theme of this COLLAGE  MAKING COMPTETION is "USES OF LATEST INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY".
The objective of this  competition was to enhance our students’  technical knowledge and familiarize them with the latest technological terminologies. 

The event had an auspicious start with Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony. Post that  Dr. Arun Kumar Singh - Director GIMS addressed student and faculty members   about the importance and utility of Information technology in our professional life. 

As part of the completion, students were divided into groups and had created collage on various themes. Panel of jury was identified who gave the scores to each group

Vasant Panchmi was celebrated with full vivacity and festivity at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS).

The event started with offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati. 

Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director (GIMS) expressed his views and relevance of celebrating Vasant Panchmi with students.

Everyone yellow clothes and Yellow laddoos specific to the occasion were also distributed among all present.

The students showcased the vibrant tradition of Punjab depicting the spirit of inner freedom, creative pride and zest for life with cultural events including dance and musical performances.
