"Aarogyam - Yog Abhyaas* organised by "Spardhaa"* -The Sports Club ",* GIMS,Greater Noida in collaboration with Seva Bharti , Gautam Buddha Nagar for PGDM I Year students on July, 20, 2022.

The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Shivom Acharya, Yoga Expert, New Delhi. The participants learnt various warming and stretching exercises followed by a series of Padmasanas, Sukhasan,Tadasana, BhujangAsana. Exercises for relieving stress, reducing joint pains and enhancing the flexibility of the back were also done for the benefit of the students.The Yoga expert motivated students to make yoga an integral part of their daily life.

GIMS organized IMPACT LECTURE SERIES - Session 1 under the banner of Institution’s Innovation Council’s activity through NUTAN - the Entrepreneurship and start up cell sponsored by the Ministry Of Education Innovation Cell and AICTE.

Director GIMS Dr. Arun Kumar Singh sir during his welcome address welcomed the guest and participants and shared his view about how entrepreneurship and startups are finding it ways in today’s economy, In his address sir had clearly highlighted the impact startup are creating in the developing economy like India.

The chief Guest of the session was Dr. Abha Rishi Ma’am, CEO at ATAL Incubation Center at BIMTECH, Greater Noida, during her address ma’am clearly outlined the aspect that startups are experiencing the right transition of getting better attention that is only through the ecosystem that it enabling it. She further stressed the need of networking that aspiring entrepreneurs must focus upon to get the things at place and fetch a viable & operational business idea at place. Mr. Sanyam Dhingra Assistant General Manager at AIC BIMTECH shared his views about the topic “” STARTUP AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM IN INDIA” he shared the aspect that how ecosystem is actually enabling the complete process in our nation and support and assistance available to make thing functional at various ends.

Second session expert Dr. V.K. Arora ‘IGDTUW Anveshan Foundation’, Shared his views about “Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset” he clearly highlighted the journey a person takes from an aspiring entrepreneur to budding entrepreneur and finally to successful entrepreneur. What he highlighted to focus was how mindset plays values in the transition from these phases and how a mindset is needed to excel at each phase of entrepreneurship.

Participant and faculty had thoroughly enjoyed this informative session. Head PGP – Prof Mayank Kumar Pandey Sir and Dean Outreach and student welfare Dr. Ruchi Rayat Ma’am motivated students to give wings to ideas that are finding it way to them. The session ended with vote of thanks extended by Dr. Nishant Singh

Samarpan-The CSR Club, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies(GIMS), Greater Noida in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council (IIC), organized a Plantation Drive - One Batch, One Tree on July 18, 2022 and planted the saplings of different trees making their impression on nature.

The saplings will be henceforth nurtured by the students of PGDM batch 2021-23 and 2022-24 turning them into full grown trees enhancing the green cover of mother earth. The plantation drive inculcates the values for serving the nature and nurturing life.

The occasion was graced by the presence of a stalwarts from the industry.

The Chief Guest for the event- Mr. Munish Kanotra, CEO Times Group- GMR Group of JV (TIMDAA) enlightened students with his experience and industry insights. The Guest of Honor- Mr. Ankush Garg, Director Business-Swiggy gave an excellent coverage on Outcome Oriented decision- making.

The show stealer was Mr. Harshvardhan Jain who mesmerized the audience with his motivational speech and inspired future managers to be more successful from yesterday and make their tomorrow better.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of GIMS Manual in the presence of all the invited guests and audience.

The National Conference on Resilience, Reinvention and Rebuilding Towards the New Normal (R3TN2-2022) organized by GNIOT Institute of Management Studies(GIMS), Greater Noida on May 14, 2022 was a grand success with an overwhelming response from the participants. The conference was graced by the presence of the esteemed dignitaries like Prof. (Dr) R. K. Khandal, Ex-VC, AKTU, Lucknow, President R&D and Business Development, India Glycols Ltd. as the Chief Guest, Mr. Upkar Singh, VP-IT as the Keynote Speaker RMSI and Dr. Niraj Gupta, Head- School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi. The guests emphasized upon the need of building a social resilience to make the world a better place to live by developing and nurturing self-sustainability through the philosophy of ‘Janm se Anteshti Tak’ as the root of self-sustainability.

The conference was attended by the academicians, research scholars, researchers and students from 38 universities and colleges across the country from over 16 states and 3 international participations.

Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director- GIMS and Director- Conference, in his Welcome Address, emphasized on the need of the academicians to bridge the gap in rebuilding the New Normal which has digitally remodeled the world post-pandemic. The conference was moderated by Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean-OSW and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Prof. Mayank Kr. Pandey, Head-PGP, the conveners of the Conference. The conference was further attended by Prof. Sudha Pandey and Prof. G. S. Sharma, Secretaries of the Conference, Dr. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Verma and Prof. Mudit Tomar the co-conveners of the conference along with the other faculty and staff members of GIMS, Greater Noida.

R3TN2 brought an opportunity for the assimilation of different theories, ideas and concepts for the academic and industrial pursuits to conceptualize the sustainable practices for The New Normal.

GNIOT Institute of Management Studies organized farewell party “PRAARABDH” on April, 23, 2022 in the Chanakya Block where students of PGDM Ist year bid farewell to the outgoing students of PGDM Batch 2020-22 with great enthusiasm and off course nostalgia.

The event began with a floral welcome of the passing out PGDM batch by juniors. Lamp lighting ceremony was done by all the dignitaries present- Mr. Gaurav Gupta (Vice Chairman, GNIOT Group), Mr. Swadesh Singh (CEO, GIMS), Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Director, GIMS) and various Deans, Directors, HODs of different colleges.

The PGDM Ist Year organized mesmerizing performances based on the RETRO THEME for the day. The students played a video that highlighted the years of camaraderie shared by seniors. Various playful, as well as serious accolades and awards were given out to the seniors by their lovable faculty members. The party also witnessed engrossing performance by Akash Chauhan & Band.

Different tags were awarded to the students, tag of Mr. Farewell, Ms.Farewell, Ms. GIMS and Mr. GIMS.

Finally, the seniors re-lived their bittersweet memories at the college and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to this great institution for being instrumental in shaping their personalities and providing them with stellar opportunities.

Saksham, The Student Welfare Club, GIMS had organized a workshop on 'PARICHAY- Creating your own Road Map to Success' The Resource Person for the workshop was Dr. Ruchi Rayat ( Dean-OSW & Area Chair- OB & HRM)

Students gave presentations on their identified vision, dream job role, academic & individual goals, which were reframed by Dr. Rayat on the basis of their core competencies. Based on final goals, a road map to achieve them was designed.

The workshop will be followed by periodic assessments in future. The goals would be mapped with attainment and if gaps identified, the reasons would be explored and rectified accordingly.

The objective of the workshop was to help the students to have Self- Identification, which is a first step for them towards becoming a brand.
