Under the banner of Performance Improvement Program (PIP), a workshop on "Understanding salary Breakup, Salary Structure and Salary Components" was organized for HR Specialization students on 22nd October'21. The workshop intended to educate students about the Salary Breakup, deductions and Tax calculation .It helped the future HR Leaders to build and understand Pay Structure. Dr. Ruchi Rayat( Area Chair-HRM) was the Resource person of the workshop.

i-analytikà - ITBA Club of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) in association with QTanalytics, India has organizing its FIRST VALUE ADDED CERTIFICATION on "Advance Excel for Managers" for its PGDM Batch 2021-23. The 5 days certification program has commenced yesterday, 13th October, 2021. This Five days hand-on certification programme, is to step towards building future managers by enhancing their analytical skills through familiarizing them with the various research methods, statistical tools used for data analysis and use of MS Excel to conduct analysis and applying right tools and techniques while conducting research.

It is the mission of GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) to create an environment that inspires passion amongst its students. To reinforce the same thought, Class Representative(CR) Elections were organised by SAKSHAM ,The Student Welfare Club, GIMS on 12th October'21 in Seminar Hall. The nominations for all the three sections in the first year were online submitted by the students on 8th October. On the final day, nominees appealed the faculties and fellow students to cast vote for them by sharing as why they should be elected as CR and also their future commitments after being elected. The voting was done online by the students and winners were identified. The elected CRs will be shortly announced by the Director, GIMS.

The Performance Improvement Programme(PIP), "Demystify the Art of Storytelling" conducted on October 12, 2021 @ GIMS, Greater Noida helped the participants understand the importance of Effective Presentation Skills through Storytelling. A Presentation is delivered not merely to share an information with the audience but to hook them and arising their interest in your words. A simple take-away of the workshop- "Find your Story to entice the Audience"

Rock music, Welcome drinks, Tasty food, Smiles and resounding laughter all at the same time- yes, it was a Party time to welcome Freshers at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), Greater Noida!! 'Beinvenidos Novatos- The Freshers Party’ was organized on 18th September'21 and created a buzz among the Freshers to forget deadlines and their so called sacrosanctity. Everyone conspired that day to make the event memorable and it yet happened that the students rejoiced with fun n frolic. The students gave their performance on dancing, singing, stand-up comedy etc. The fashion show was organized for freshers, in which they were accompanied by International Models to boost up the confidence of the students. Mr. and Miss. Fresher were decided on the basis of their confidence and opinion on various questions asked by the judges. The event was perpetuated by the presence of the Prime Time Hit FM 95 RJs -The Gulati Brothers- Campi & Ritesh fondly known as Zabardast Spa

The Induction Program 2021, GIMS was bought with a view to uplift the level of entrants to an elevated stage and get them familiarized with the institution as well as the ethos to be maintained during their stay in the institution. The program began with welcome address by Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Director, GIMS). The program was marked with the presence of eminent personalities like Dr. Jatinder Singh ( Director- PHDCCI , Delhi), Mr. Amulya Sah (CHRO- Team Computers) and Mr. Swapnil Verma (VP Marketing RBL Bank) who exposed the students to the professional life and how they can sail through hardships of corporate life. The students get motivated to get encultured in the color of GIMS. Event was concluded by Vote of Thanks to all the speakers and entrants, by Dr. Ruchi Rayat (Dean- OSW).

Understanding and raising Emotional Intelligence is essential to success and leadership potential. A workshop under the banner of ' Performance Improvement Program (PIP)' was conducted for our future leaders on 13th of September by Dr. Ruchi Rayat, Dean (OSW) & Area Chair( HRM). The Key Takeaways of the session were: Development of interpersonal skills such as self-awareness, which is the ability of an individual to recognize and understand one's moods, emotions and drives as well as their impact on others. Cultivate empathy or the ability to understand the emotional makeup of other people and skill in responding according to their emotional reactions. Develop interpersonal skills which indicate the individual's proficiency in managing relationships and building networks. Develop skills in responding to criticisms & adversity. Leadership strategies for working with others towards shared goals.

Darpan 2.0- The Embedded Assessment by industry experts at GIMS, Greater Noida, showered abundance of learning to the GIMSians. The views and the comprehensive feedback shared by Mr. Umesh Chaudhary- Head HR, Jaina India Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Debaprasad Ray, Sr. Manager, VEST Inc. (Virtual Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd.), were immense. The inputs shared will serve as a ready reckoner for the Managers to-be of GIMS, Greater Noida. This activity was yet another attempt to polish the skills of our Millennials and will prove its worth in the coming Campus Drives

TRICKS AND TECHNIQUES ON TALLY PRIME AMAZED ALL!
A one day workshop on ‘Accounting using Tally Prime’ concluded at GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) on September 09, 2021. The objective of the workshop was to train PGDM students in the area of preparation of various financial & accounting reports through Tally Prime. This workshop was also intended to impart hands-on functional knowledge to the students on accounting software.
The resource persons of the programme Dr. Ankit Goel, Area Chair – Finance, GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS) conducted the workshop session for students and disseminated functional accounting knowledge to them on Tally Prime environment. 
 

"Educators are the only people who lose sleep over other people's kids" National Teacher's Day was celebrated by millennial managers of GIMS to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of  students- the leaders of tomorrow. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 3rd of September. The whole event was meticulously planned by PGDM students. The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandana and paying tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator. The cultural programme unfolded with lot of mesmerizing performances by the students including cultural dance, skit, singing, speeches, etc. The programme was followed by musical chair and few performances by the teachers. The day observed lot of fun n frolic and ended with honouring the teachers with bouquet and gifts.
